Icardi Will Miss Second Straight Game Due to Adductor Injury

Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi’s injury woes this season have been a significant concern for the club. He has only played in five Ligue 1 games so far this season while missing all the team’s UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures. Now, the Argentine will miss yet another fixture as PSG has ruled him out from its league fixture against Montpellier, the club announced on Friday.

Icardi will miss this contest due to a nagging adductor issue. He was ruled out from PSG’s Champions League group stage fixture against Manchester United after dealing with pain in his adductor during a pre-match training session. Now, PSG is remaining cautious with his condition as the club is not only keeping him out of this upcoming league fixture but will also hold him out of its upcoming scheduled training sessions as well.

The focus for PSG now moves towards Icardi’s potential availability for its final Champions League group stage fixture of the season against Istanbul Basaksehir. PSG needs a win in this fixture in order to finish top of Champions League Group H.
