Barcelona Presidential Candidate Makes Promise to Bring Back Neymar to the Club

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has widely been mentioned by almost every Barcelona presidential candidate so far as of late. Barcelona is set to hold elections next month to decide its new club president and numerous candidates are already stating their case as to why they should be the one to lead the club into its next era. Almost all candidates have discussed the Neymar dilemma with some having ruled out even entertaining the idea of bringing back the forward to the club while others are all in to completing this possible blockbuster transfer deal.

Former Barcelona club executive Emili Rousaud is the latest to voice his opinion on the Neymar dilemma. Unlike rival candidate Toni Freixa, Rousaud (via UOL) is among those who want to see Neymar back with the Catalan club.

“We will sign two top players and one of them is Neymar,” Rousaud said. “We are working to bring him back to Barcelona, if he withdraws the lawsuits he has against the club.”

Barcelona and Neymar have been going back and forth with lawsuits over the past year. Neymar and his legal representatives recently proceeded forward with a lawsuit claiming that Barca owes him over €40 million from an unpaid bonus.

More counter-lawsuits could possibly be expected soon from both sides.
