Yannick Bolasie and Crystal Palace fans applaud defender’s Champions League display

Aaron Wan-Bissaka starred for Manchester United on Tuesday as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side produced a stunning display to beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 away from home – and both Yannick Bolasie and Crystal Palace fans have applauded the defender.

Wan-Bissaka, 22, came into the match in good form after scoring his first goal for Manchester United on Saturday afternoon during a 4-1 win over Newcastle United – in what was his 50th appearances for the Old Trafford club.

Having kept Allan Saint-Maximin quiet on Saturday evening, Wan-Bissaka was tasked with keeping another Frenchman under wraps on Tuesday night – in the form of superstar Kylian Mbappe. But the £90k-a-week (Spotrac) ace did just that.

Indeed, Wan-Bissaka was excellent with Mbappe hardly having a sniff – as did Neymar. It was a poor PSG performance, with their only goal coming through an Anthony Martial mistake, as he headed into his own net. Wan-Bissaka posted on Instagram.

Manchester United took the lead from the penalty spot as Bruno Fernandes scored at the second attempt, after his first was saved – but re-taken with Keylor Navas off his line. Marcus Rashford then scored with aplomb, in the final 10 minutes.

Palace icon Bolasie responded to Wan-Bissaka’s post on Instagram, while Eagles supporters applauded their academy product for his performance at the Parc Des Princes – as United produced another stunning display against PSG.
