Kylian Mbappe is more direct than Marcus Rashford - but that's the only difference between the two top-drawer strikers.

That's according to Rio Ferdinand, who has revealed how he believes the England international can improve.

Rashford was on target for the Red Devils on Tuesday night as they ran out 2-1 winners over Mbappe's Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Discussing the duo after the game, Ferdinand told BT Sport: "The difference between Rashford and Mbappe is when Mbappe gets the ball I'm on the edge of my seat.

"Every single time. Because I know the first thing in his mind is to turn and hurt you.

"There's a difference in identifying when he'll go for that killer moment."

On how Rashford can improve, he added: "I think he needs to add that poachers element to his game. A couple of scruffy goals a game.

"He got that in his game. He became someone who became obsessed with scoring goals, working out ways to add to his repertoire.

"Marcus, in that sense scores fantastic goals and sets up fantastic goals as well. If he can get that ugly side to his game.

"I know it's not fashionable, but if he can get in the six yard box, getting a bit muddy, getting around bodies, this kid he can go on to be unbelievable."
