Rashford loves Paris! Man Utd grab deserved victory over PSG

Marcus Rashford was once again the hero at the Parc de Princes as Manchester United claimed a 2-1 victory over PSG in the Champions League.

It was Rashford who scored the decisive penalty in United's 3-1 win in Paris 18 months ago which saw Thomas Tuchel's side eliminated at the last-16 stage.

And the Englishman showed his finishing prowess with a superb winner with three minutes left on the clock.

Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Anthony Martial was fouled in the box by Abdou Diallo.

The Portugal international missed his first penalty, but had the chance to re-take it after Keylor Navas stepped off his line.

PSG lifted in the second-half on a wet night in France and they were rewarded with an equaliser thanks to a poor headed clearance from Anthony Martial, which ended in the top corner of David De Gea's goal.

Often criticised for his tentative substitute decisions, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought on Paul Pogba with his midfield being overrun.

It turned out to be an inspired decision as Pogba helped set up Rashford for the winning goal.

After holding the ball up with his back to goal, the World Cup winner swivelled and found Rashford waiting patiently for his pass.

The England international took one touch past a lethargic Danilo Pereira and fired a pinpoint strike off the post and into Navas' net.

It was a well deserved win for United, who were without captain Harry Maguire and Mason Greenwood.

Solskjaer's side will have the chance to take six points from their opening two games when they take on RB Leipzig at Old Trafford next Wednesday.
