Alex Telles will make his Manchester United debut against Paris Saint-Germain after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was forced into a number of changes for his side’s Champions League clash in France.

United got their Premier League campaign back on track with a 4-1 win against Newcastle United on Saturday but Harry Maguire failed to travel with the squad to the French capital, while Eric Bailly is injured.

Daniel James and Juan Mata make way from Saturday’s win, with Anthony Martial returning to the side that Bruno Fernandes will captain.

Axel Tuanzebe makes his first appearance for the club in 2020, in what looks to be a back three.

Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic remain on the bench, which indicates Solskjaer was far from pleased with the pair’s performance in the 6-1 defeat to Tottenham.

United famously overturned a two-goal first leg defecit the last time they played against the Ligue 1 giants in 2019, when Marcus Rashford scored an injury-time penalty round off a 3-1 win to send the Red Devils through to the last-eight.

Their starting XI is significantly stronger this time around than it was in 2019 and Solskjaer has the likes of Pogba, Matic and Donny van De Beek to call upon from his bench.

There’s also a place for new boy Facundo Pellestri on United’s bench and the teenager will be hoping to make his debut for the club following a £10m arrival from Penarol.

Manchester United’s starting XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Tuanzebe, Shaw, Telles, Fred, McTominay, Fernandes, Rashford, Martial
